As Greater Sydney grows we need to make sure we are maximising the effective use of shared spaces, and consider ways to open up private spaces for shared public uses.
The shared use of community resources could be a game changer for Greater Sydney. What if the community could get better access to local halls and theatres, and use school playing fields and golf courses?
We want to look at how you could more easily find, book and use existing spaces, by identifying and removing constraints to access and affordability, and considering relevant regulations.
- Active transport - Bicentennial Park, 29 July 2017
As well as their obvious health benefits, walking and cycling for short trips can reduce congestion on public transport and help create a more liveable city.
But how can we encourage walking and cycling for short trips?
Is it a matter of legislative changes, infrastructure building, behavioural change, or a combination of all three?
